Hestra Windstopper Pullover Mitt
The Hestra Windstopper Pullover Mitt is a mitten with a "hood" that can be flipped back. This makes it and ideal glove for those needing to use more precise finger movements on cold days, for example when fishing, photographing, or handling a GPS. The outer material is made from Gore Windstopper Breeze and Stretch polyester, while the lining is a fleece from polyester.

The glove also features a neoprene cuff, with a strap that can be pulled for easier use. An additional feature is the magnetic closure of the fold down cuff.
Hestra has a long-term partnership with a new German leather supplier. The hides come from farms in southern Germany, a region known for good animal welfare, small-scale operations, and lots of natural grazing. They are then processed at a Bavarian quality tannery located in the same geographic region. One initiative was building its own purification plant, which removes 99 % of the contaminants from the water used in the tanning process, and a bio power plant that produces all the energy needed for production from in-house waste products. The tannery is ECO2L certified (Energy Controlled Leather) for its low CO2 emissions and “Gold rated” by the industry organisation LWG (Leather Working Group).
Polyester can be recycled endlessly in a circular recycling system without lowering the quality. By offering both recycled and recyclable products, they have come close to the goal of offering maximum experiences with minimal environmental impact.
