The Swedish word Vardag translates directly to English as ‘weekday’ however a more general translation would be ‘everyday life’. It is this concept of having a little bit of the outdoors everyday which forms the basis for Fjällräven’s Vardag collection. The new collection has now landed in Nordic Outdoor for Spring Summer 2022 and features a range of heritage inspired designs which are perfect for everyday life in the city and the wild.
From Anoraks to Fleeces the Fjällräven Vardag collection is perfect for Spring Summer adventures. With styles available in both mens and womens there is something for everyone and much of the collection takes inspiration from some of the brands heritage styles from the 60’s and 70’s. For this reason Fjällräven have used their original logo from the 1970’s throughout the range.
As the name Vardag suggests the range is designed to be the perfect transition for taking your everyday life outdoors. Unlike some of the more technical outdoor styles from Fjällräven the Vardag collection can be worn on the commute or the wilderness without looking out of place in either setting. Despite the less ‘outdoorsy’ design which runs through the Vardag collection each product is still constructed using the focus on quality, durability and functionality which are integral to Fjällräven’s brand values.

Vardag Lite Fleece
A perfect transitional layer for long Spring days in the wild or for the morning commute. The Vardag Lite fleece features a half length zip to the front and is constructed from a recycled polyester making it a more sustainable choice.
Available in both men’s and women’s versions - the men’s Vardag Lite Fleece features a large kangaroo pocket to the front while the Women’s version features a zip close chest pocket.
As with the entirety of the Fjallraven Vardag range the style is completed with the retro inspired branding to the lower body.
Vardag Anorak
The Vardag Anorak first landed at Nordic Outdoor for Autumn Winter 2021 and quickly became a favourite amongst customers and staff. Available for both men and women the Vardag Anorak is constructed using the brands G-1000 Eco material which is a blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton. The G-1000 Eco fabric can be adapted using Greenland Wax to provide some weather resistance and when unwaxed is fantastically breathable.
Available in a multitude of colourways the Vardag Anorak is another heritage inspired style which looks great in the city or the country, With an over the head design, large front pocket and built in adjustable hood the style is completed with the Vardag branding to the front.
Vardag Jacket
Available in Mens and Womens the Vardag Jacket is a timeless design which will become a wardrobe favourite for years to come. Built to last the Vardag jacket is constructed using Fjallraven’s G-1000 HeavyDuty fabric which is impregnated with Greenland wax on both sides of the fabric. This hard wearing fabric is less ventilating than traditional G-1000 fabric however is designed to last and is used on products where resilience is a priority.
Inspired by traditional worker style jackets the Vardag features two large patch pockets to the front, one interior zip close pocket and metal stud button closure. Maybe our favourite style for everyday wear from the new collection the look is completed with Vardag branding to the lower body.
