Great walks near Nordic Outdoor

Nordic Outdoor takes great pride in sourcing and providing quality outdoor gear for our customers, so I thought it would be a nice idea to provide some information on where is good to use your outdoor gear.  Here are three great walks near to each of our shops, and one more in Scotland because I have a big soft spot for it.  .

I love my dog as much as I love “adventure”

If you follow our blog you will already have been introduced to Billy, who sits neatly one slot above Daniel in the Naslund family hierarchy. I recently had the pleasure of looking after Billy for a week while Daniel was on holiday and it got me thinking about how to incorporate micro adventures in to a dog’s daily life so that a short walk around the block, or to the park, doesn’t become the highlight of their day. Points to anyone who gets what song this blog title is inspired by! .

Why Aclima LightWool should be the first thing in your suitcase this summer

If you’ve read this blog before you’ll know that we are big fans of using wool not only in the winter but during the summer as well. As such, it might not come as a surprise that the sight of staff wearing Aclima LightWool is a regular occurrence around the office here at Nordic Outdoor. Because of this, I thought it would be a good idea to take a closer look at some of those products and offer an insight into why we like them so much.

Where will you take your tent this summer?

There are very few better ways to get closer to nature than by camping. Well, you might get closer sleeping under the stars without any equipment, but I live in Scotland and I’m thinking comfort here as well, so camping in a tent is a good compromise. That night time beer also feels even more deserving after you have built your home for the night. Kicking back with a beer and admiring your hard work surrounded by beautiful landscapes is the ultimate outdoor zen. .

Staff Picks: Top 5 For a Summer Outdoors (2)

When the idea of picking five favourites for summer use was first brought up, I thought ‘nice, this’ll be quick and easy’. About five minutes later my list of five products had about fifteen on it. Being the glass half full kind of guy I am, I choose to see that as a representation of the fact that I work with something I like rather than how patient of a woman my wife must be.

After some creased brows, ums’ and ahs’, and general indecisiveness, here’s.

I love adventure, especially small bursts of spontaneous adventure, it helps clear my mind and refresh my soul. Here are five of my favourite micro-adventures which will liven up your week and hopefully help inspire you to have more.
